CrowdStrike Expands Executive Team to Support Explosive Market Demand and Expand Global Presence

Company appoints Burt Podbere as Chief Financial Officer and Liza Cuevas as Vice President of People

Irvine, CA – September 22, 2015 – CrowdStrike Inc., provider of the first true Software-as-a- Service (SaaS) based next-generation endpoint protection platform, today announced that it has added two new executives to its leadership team to support critical operational functions as the company continues its aggressive growth and global expansion.

Burt Podbere has been appointed as CrowdStrike’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Drawing upon more than 20 years of experience in financial and operations management of pre- and post-IPO companies, Podbere will support CrowdStrike’s continued, long-term growth and financial performance. Prior to joining CrowdStrike, he served as CFO of OpenDNS, a SaaS-based security company, where he helped grow the business, which ultimately led to the acquisition by Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO) earlier this year.

Podbere has a successful track record in driving impressive financial growth and positioning companies in the technology field for successful exits. In 2013, he played a key role in selling Net Optics to Ixia, and in 2011 Podbere helped lead Epocrates through a successful IPO. Podbere is replacing CrowdStrike’s Co-founder and CFO Gregg Marston, who is retiring after successfully guiding the company’s outstanding business performance and establishing a winning long-term financial management strategy.

“I am thrilled to be joining CrowdStrike at this pivotal time for the company’s history. In addition to completing an impressive Series C funding round in July, CrowdStrike has outperformed even the most aggressive goals for new customer acquisition, recurring subscription revenue, and multimillion dollar transactions,” said Burt Podbere, CrowdStrike’s Chief Financial Officer. “The continual corporate growth that CrowdStrike has demonstrated, paired with its formidable roster of top-tier customers and recognized technical innovation, make it one of the most transformative players in the security industry today.”

Liza Cuevas recently joined CrowdStrike as Vice President (VP) of People and is responsible for aligning the human capital strategy of the company with its business growth trajectory. Bringing forward more than 25 years of experience in the human resources field, she is dedicated to shaping and harnessing CrowdStrike’s culture and work environment to attract and retain the best possible talent in the industry. Having started her career at Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL), Cuevas has held senior management positions at some of the most notable technology companies such as Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) and Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTXS).

“Burt and Liza are highly seasoned leaders who will be instrumental in driving the next phase of rapid domestic and international growth for our company,” said George Kurtz, CrowdStrike’s Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer. “They are both Silicon Valley veterans with impressive accomplishments in senior leadership positions at high-growth, pre- and post-IPO technology companies. We are excited to have them join our mission to build an enduring company that continues to transform the entire endpoint security market.”

CrowdStrike has more than tripled its growth of total billings and employees year-over-year, and significantly increased its core customer base. The strong financial performance of the company is driven by massive worldwide deployments of CrowdStrike Falcon® by global Fortune 500 companies.
